Privacy Policy

Kerf is designed with privacy as its starting point. Kerf has no account system and uses no tracking, advertising or analytics services. Apple services are used for private iCloud sync and Kerf Plus purchases.

Data Kerf collects

Kerf and its developer do not collect personal data, usage statistics, advertising identifiers or analytics. You do not need to create an account.

Routines, progress and private iCloud sync

Routines and completion progress are stored with SwiftData. They can sync between your devices through the private database of your iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. The developer cannot view that private database. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Settings stored only on your device

Kerf stores the completed-introduction status and the general notifications preference locally in UserDefaults. Pending reminders are managed locally by iOS. These settings are not stored on a Kerf server.

Notifications

Kerf uses local notifications through Apple UserNotifications. Kerf does not send server push notifications. You can change permission in iOS Settings and enable or disable reminders inside Kerf.

Kerf Plus and StoreKit

Kerf uses Apple StoreKit for monthly and yearly Kerf Plus subscriptions. Apple processes payments, subscription status and transaction data. The developer receives only the verified subscription entitlement needed to unlock Kerf Plus, not your payment details.

Restoring and managing purchases

Restore a purchase from the Kerf Plus screen with Restore Purchases. Manage or cancel a subscription in Kerf under Settings, Kerf Plus, or directly on Apple's subscription page. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple.

No tracking, advertising or analytics

Kerf uses no tracking SDKs, advertising networks or analytics services. Kerf does use Apple CloudKit, StoreKit, UserNotifications and SwiftData for the app functions described above.

Deleting your data

Delete individual routines in Kerf. To remove all routine data, delete Kerf's iCloud data through your Apple device's iCloud storage settings and remove the app from your devices. Cancelling Kerf Plus is a separate step through Apple subscriptions.
